DTE is simply the premier brand in performance re-mapping, with a level of quality, performance and research and service that far outstrips other engine management alternatives.
The idea behind the tuning box is to intercept the signal between the ECU and the injection system, which allows it to inject the perfect amount of fuel into the cylinders. By running more efficiently it both produces more power, and saves you fuel. Read More..

Hi, Just a quick email to express my views on the unit (DTE) that I purchased from you/your company. First of all, your customer service is top-notch, which is pretty hard to come by these days so makes a nice change, obviously you're a busy man - so the time you spend with customers/potential customers is even more-appreciated I would say. Now, the unit itself - Ease of fitting was idiot-proof, apart from the MAF recepticle that I initially fitted the wrong way around - don't ask how (it is indexed so I think I was a little too brutish with it). Cable Harness was of very good quality, no bare ends at the connectors, sturdy feel - made in Germany so what do you expect? Box itself was of very good build quality and particularly liked the way it was filled with resin polymer to stop ingress of water - extremely good build quality and very confidence-instilling. Initial Test Drive I live in a fairly hilly area, so gear changes are frequent and clutch usage is fairly high - leading to fairly tiring driving. Fitted the unit in under 10 minutes thanks to the clear (some spelling errors though) instructions, and went out for a test drive at 07:00 this morning. The difference can be 'felt' straight away, from initial pull-off all the way up the revs 'till the turbo spools up - so much easier to drive now, and less frequent/necessary gear changes. I got to work this morning after a 25 mile drive through A roads, hills, motorways etc, with THE BIGGEST GRIN on my face, colleagues must have though the missus gave me a service! Overtaking ability now is much better, and I have confidence in the cars smoother power delivery - she smokes a little but just before 1800rpm but quits the fags after around 2200rpm because turbo has kicked-in - normal behaviour. As mentioned before, I can turn my unit up to 8 on the unit and no further until the Engine Management light flags up - but this is obviously due individual engine tolerances and may not apply to other users - I am more than happy with this setting though :) Anyway, all in all, 5 star service from yourself and the company as a whole. Only thing I would add is maybe revise the instruction manuals a little bit as a few spelling/grammer mistakes - or maybe not - maybe I'm just a cheeky c*nt!!! Cheers again, and all the best for the future!

| What is TUV Approval? |
| TUV Approval is an EEC rating and required by all manufacturers of vehicles for cars and motor products. In Germany these same standards apply to the sale of after-market parts, while in the UK so far they do not. |
